The genealogy of this breed is said to be larger in size and highly valued by the Aztec royalty. Chihuahua has muscular body and with a fine bone structure is noted for their nervous temperament and diminutive appearance.
Temperament
This breed is very gentle, sweet tempered and loving but very bold and fearless and highly protective to their masters. They are excellent watchdogs as they are too much wary about strangers. If you want they can be your best companions as they develop special affection for their master.
Grooming
The best part is, this dog requires occasional cleaning and only brushing the fur on his body will do the needful. The dog with long coat needs grooming several times in a week and bathing once in a month with mild shampoo. The Chihuahua if not taken care of can suffer from tooth loss, ear infection, slipped stifles, eye problems, open font or soft spot and heart disease. They are very sensitive to cold temperatures so proper car should be taken during winter season and should be protected.
