Origin
The exact origins of the French Bulldog is uncertain but according to popular opinions it originates from the miniature or toy bulldog brought in France by Nottingham lace workers at the time of industrial revolution in England. These dogs are also known as Frenchie and are nicknamed "clowns" and "frog dogs".
Appearance
The miniature French Bulldogs are strong with a pug nose and a square flat head. The forehead is round and has large rounded bat ears. When you see this dog you come across the round dark colored eyes and can feel the soft skin. The tail is mostly straight but you will also see a corkscrew tail.
Behavior
French miniature Bulldogs are known for their playful nature and clownish behavior. They are very affectionate, sweet and immensely funny. They are very sociable and get very along well even with the strangers and other dogs but have strong relationship with only one person. This breed always need a companion and cannot survive without it.
Grooming
French Bulldogs are so appealing that you cannot sidetrack them. They can be trained but the trainer needs to have lot of patience to train them. They are full of life and energetic, they make the elder and understanding children as their best companion. You will find some dogs slobber but not all. Sometimes when they are barking they do not know when to stop. But they are not too loud and yappy.
