It is recommended to take your puppy to a veterinarian for initial examination. This examination will determine the vaccines to be given to the puppy. If the dog has contact with other dogs and wildlife, the veterinarian will suggest a 5-way vaccine for your puppy. Secondly in any case your dog is exposed to other dogs or animals a 7-way vaccine will be suggested. Thirdly if the veterinarian finds the problem of Canine Coronavirus in your area the doctor will recommend either of the two 5-way vaccines or 7-way vaccine.
Fourthly if there are ticks in your area your dog will require a Lyme Vaccine. Prevention of tick and topical flea will help to protect the dog from the ticks. Lastly if you will be traveling with your dog or the dog is spending time in the kennels or with other dogs irrespective of the time. The veterinarians will advice Bordetella vaccine to protect against tracheobronchitis or kennel cough
The time-to-time vaccination will keep your pet healthy and free from diseases. So if you are very much concerned for the health of your puppy take them to veterinarian for regular checkup.
